Contemporaneous with the chemical industry in Türkiye, and being one of the leading firms in the industry, Deteks Kimya San. A.S. has produced high quality products and auxiliaries for the leather, textile, construction, petroleum and pharmaceutical industries for more than 40 years, utilizing the most advanced technology available.

Supplying various industries with over 100 quality items at world standards, Deteks Kimya has a production capacity of over 50.000 tons per year. Comprising the heart of Erksan Holding and therefore having a unique vitality within the holding itself, the history of Deteks Kimya shows the development of a modest company into the highly successful holding it is today.

At the beginning of the history of Deteks, which dates back to before the 1960’s, there is a small partnership founded for the production, marketing, sales and representation of textile auxiliaries. This partnership later included leather auxiliaries in its venture and took on the name of Deteks ( the name formed when the first syllables of the words leather and textile in Turkish are brought together). In 1963, the company was officially named “Deteks Kollektif Sirketi”.

In 1967, this small firm, with production taking place in its own plant in Kagithane and acquiring a new legal and financial status, took on the name of “Deteks Kimya Sanayi A.S.” Parallel to its growth in production capacity, Deteks began to produce goods for the cosmetic and petroleum industries as well.

Dealing with internationally reputable companies at standards accepted around the world. Deteks continued to up-grade its production technology and in 1973 became the representative in Türkiye for “Sika AG” of Switzerland. Subsequent to putting its new plant into operation in Pendik-Kaynarca in 1974, Deteks began to produce and market construction chemicals under the licence of Sika. Largely due to its cooperation with Sika, which is the one of the world’s most renowned firms in the field of construction chemicals, Deteks Kimya soon became the leading producer and marketing company in Türkiye for construction chemicals.
In 1979 “Platan Plastik Profil ve Boru Sanayi A.S.” merged with Deteks Kimya Sanayi A.S.
In 1981, Deteks Kimya, Sika Deteks and Platan companies joined with Erksan Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret Kontuari A.S. Erksan moved to Kaynarca from Kagithane in 1982 and Deteks Kimya became Erksan’s principle manufacturer increasing its own production capacity to 50.000 tons.

Presently, from its plant building of 8000 m2 in Kaynarca, established on 16.000 m2 of property, Deteks Kimya employs over 50 staff and line personnel and continues to serve the chemical industry in Türkiye.

Utilizing internationally accepted standards of technology, Deteks offers textile, paper and leather auxiliary chemicals; food, paint, ink and construction chemicals; products conforming to unique specifications when requested. Pharmaceutical and cosmetic intermediate products; mineral oil emulsifiers; emulsifiers for industrial oils for the chemical industry as a whole.

By the experience inherited from Platan Plastik Profil ve Boru Sanayi A.S., Deteks also continues to manufacture PE drums which are the integral part of the chemical industry.
